You decide what Claude can do
The connection uses your Aripsy sign-in and the same content rules as the website.Sign-in with OAuth
You sign in on aripsy.com and approve the connection on Aripsy’s own consent screen. Claude gets an access token for Aripsy’s study tools, never your password.Only what Claude sends
Aripsy receives what Claude sends in a tool call, such as the study text for a pack. It can’t see your conversations with Claude.Read and add, never delete
Claude can read your saved packs and due flashcards, create and save new packs, and check your plan. No tool can delete anything or change the packs you already have.Same content rules
Study text is handled as on the website: it may be sent to third-party AI providers to make the pack, and Aripsy does not train its own AI models on it. A generated result is kept for up to seven days so a retried request returns the same pack.Disconnect at any time
On aripsy.com, open Connected assistants and choose Disconnect. Aripsy stops Claude’s tool calls straight away and revokes its sign-in. You can also remove the connector in Claude.Check what you learn
AI-generated study material can contain mistakes, so check important facts against your original source.
Questions about the Aripsy MCP server
What is the Aripsy MCP server?
A remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://aripsy.com/api/mcp. It lets an AI assistant such as Claude use Aripsy for you: create a study pack from your notes, quiz you on packs you’ve saved, save packs it wrote and check your plan.
Which AI assistants work with Aripsy?
Claude, on the web and in the desktop app, as a custom connector. ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients can’t connect yet, because Aripsy only accepts sign-in from assistants it has registered. Claude’s consumer apps are for people aged 18 and over, so younger students should use Aripsy on the website.
Does connecting Claude cost extra?
No. The connector works on Aripsy’s Free and Pro plans, and new packs use the same allowance as the website. On Claude’s side, custom connectors are available on its Free plan (one connector) and on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise.
Why do I paste a client ID?
Aripsy’s sign-in server doesn’t let assistants register themselves, so Claude needs Aripsy’s client ID to start the sign-in. The ID is public and isn’t a password. Leave the client secret empty.
What can Claude see in my Aripsy account?
Only what a tool returns when Claude calls it: your saved study packs, the flashcards due for review and your remaining allowance. The tools don’t return your email address, payment details or settings, and they can’t delete or change your packs.
Can I send a PDF or slides through Claude?
The tools take text. Paste the text into the chat, or upload the file in the Aripsy study tool on the website, where document uploads follow your plan.
What happens when I reach my limit?
The tool tells Claude that the allowance is used up and links to Aripsy’s plans. Claude shouldn’t retry. Your allowance resets on your plan’s schedule.
How do I disconnect Claude?
Open Connected assistants on aripsy.com and choose Disconnect next to Claude. Aripsy stops its tool calls straight away and revokes the sign-in. You can also remove the connector in Claude’s settings.
